Mining method

Mining refers to the exploitation of valuable natural mineral resources by artificial or mechanical means. Mining will produce unorganized dust. For an ore body, whether to use open-pit mining or underground mining depends on the occurrence state of the ore body. If open-pit mining is used, how much depth should be reasonable, there is a problem of depth boundary, the determination of depth boundary mainly depends on economic benefits. Generally speaking, if the stripping ratio is less than or equal to the economic and reasonable stripping ratio, the open-pit mining can be adopted, otherwise the underground mining method is adopted.

Open-pit mining is a mining method that uses excavating equipment to peel rocks and extract useful minerals in the open-pit of slopes or depressions stage by stage. Compared with underground mining, open-pit mining has many advantages, such as fast construction speed, high labor productivity, low cost, good working conditions, safe work, high ore recovery rate, small dilution loss and so on. Especially with the development of large and efficient open-pit mining and transportation equipment, open-pit mining will be more widely used. At present, most black metallurgical mines in China adopt open-pit mining.
