Rock drill

A rock drill is a tool used to directly mine stones. It drilled holes in rock formations for explosives to blast through the rock to complete quarrying or other masonry work. In addition, the drill can be used as a destructor to break up hard layers such as concrete. According to their power sources, rock drills can be divided into four types: pneumatic rock drills, internal combustion rock drills, electric rock drills and hydraulic rock drills.

The basic classification
Pneumatic type

Pneumatic piston driven by compressed air in the cylinder forward impact, so that steel chisel rock, the most widely used.

electrodynamic

The electric motor through the crank connecting rod mechanism driven hammer impact steel, chisel rock. And the use of powder discharge mechanism to discharge stone debris, internal combustion engine using the principle, through the fuel of gasoline to drive the piston impact steel brazing, chisel rock. It is suitable for construction site without power supply and gas source.

hydraulic

Hydraulic type relies on hydraulic pressure through inert gas and impact body impact steel, chisel rock. The impact mechanism of these drills forces the steel to rotate the Angle by the rotary drill mechanism on the return trip, so that the drill head changes position and continues to chisel the rock. Through the diesel fuel explosion force to drive the piston impact steel brazing, so continuous impact and rotation, and the use of powder discharge mechanism to discharge stone debris, can be chiseled hole.

Internal combustion

The internal combustion drill does not need to change the internal parts of the head, but only needs to move the handle as required to operate. With easy operation, more time saving, labor saving, with chisel speed, high efficiency characteristics. Drilling holes in the rock can be vertical down, horizontal up to less than 45° vertical down to the deepest drilling up to six meters. No matter in high mountains, flat ground, no matter in 40° heat or minus 40° cold area can work, the machine has a wide range of adaptability.

The internal combustion rock drill is widely used in mining, construction, cement road surface, asphalt road surface and other kinds of splitting, crushing, tamping, shovel and other functions, widely used in mining, construction, fire fighting, geological exploration, road construction, quarrying, construction, national defense engineering.

The working principle of
The rock drill works on the principle of impact crushing. When working, the piston does high frequency reciprocating movement and continuously impacts the brazing tail. Under the action of the impact force, the sharp wedge-shaped bit crushes the rock and drives it into a depth, forming an indentation. After the piston returns, the solder turns a certain Angle, and the piston moves forward. When the piston impacts the brazing tail again, a new notch is formed. The fan-shaped rock between the two indentations is sheared by a horizontal component of the force generated by the drill head. The piston continuously impacts the brazing tail, and continuously inputs compressed air or pressurized water from the central hole of the brazing metal, discharging the rock slag out of the hole, that is, forming a circular hole of a certain depth.

Operating procedures
1. Before drilling, check the integrity and rotation of all parts (including rock drill, support or rock drill trolley), add necessary lubricating oil, check whether the wind road, waterway is smooth, and whether each connection joint is firm.

2, near the working face to knock help ask the top, that is, check the roof and two sides near the working face for live stone, pine stone, and make the necessary treatment.

3, working face smooth hole position, to prior to leveling rock drilling, to prevent slipping or hole displacement.

4. Dry drilling is strictly prohibited. Wet drilling should be adhered to. When opening the hole, run at low speed first, and then drill at full speed after drilling a certain depth.

5. Drill drill personnel are not allowed to wear gloves.

6. When using air leg drilling, we should pay attention to the standing posture and position. We should not rely on body pressure, and we should not stand under the drill bar in front of the drill to prevent injuries caused by broken drill.

7. When abnormal sound is found in drilling and discharging water is abnormal, the machine should be shut down for inspection and the reason should be found out and eliminated before drilling can continue.

8. When exiting the drill or replacing the drill rod, the drill can run slowly. Pay attention to the position of the drill rod to avoid the automatic falling off of the drill rod and injuring people, and close the gas circuit in time.

9. When using the air leg drill, the top should be firmly held to prevent the top from slipping and wounding.

10. Hold the drill rod when using the upward rock drill to shrink the support, in case the drill rod automatically falls and hurts people.
