Service life of submersible drill bits

In order to use the submersible drill bit correctly and ensure the drilling speed and service life of the bit, the following points should be noted:

1. Choose the drill bit according to the rock condition (hardness, abrasiveness) and the type of drilling rig (high wind pressure, low wind pressure). Different forms of alloy teeth and tooth distribution are suitable for drilling different rocks. Choosing the right drill bit is a prerequisite to get the best results;

2、When installing the submersible drill bit, place the bit gently into the drill sleeve of the submersible impactor and do not collide with it to avoid damaging the tail shank or the drill sleeve;

3、In the process of rock drilling, make sure that the pressure of the submersible drilling rig is sufficient. If the impactor is working intermittently or the gun hole is not discharging powder smoothly, check the compressed air system of the drilling rig to ensure that there is no rock slag in the hole during the drilling process;

4、If metal objects are found to fall into the hole, they should be sucked out by magnets or taken out by other methods in time to avoid damaging the drill bit;

5、When replacing the drill bit, pay attention to the size of the drilled hole. If the diameter of the drill bit is excessively worn, but the hole has not yet been drilled, do not replace the drill bit with a new one to avoid jamming. You can use the old drill bit with the same diameter and wear to complete the work;

6、For the submerged drill bits that appear early and abnormal scrapping, you should notify our company in time, the notification mainly includes.

1) The type of rock and construction site;

2) The type of impactor to be used;

3) The form of drill bit failure (broken teeth, lost teeth, chipped head of drill bit, broken tail shank of drill bit, etc.);

4) The service life of the drill bit (the number of meters drilled);

5) The number of failed drill bits;

6) The number of meters of drill bit in normal use (our company and other manufacturers’ drill bits on site).
